Study: Epidemiology of Cancer (Patients of N.I.O. between 1985-2002)
Between January 15th, 1985 and December 31st, 2002 the epidemiology service of the National Institute of Oncology Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah, Rabat (N.I.O) recorded 68724 new cancer patients.
The number of registered cases progressed from 2481 in 1985 to 4897 in 2002. An analysis of the patients’ files (except for 1960 files untraceable) allowed a classification according to the localization of their cancer:
